Raised on the Eastside of Oklahoma City and shaped by the sound and storytelling of ’90s hip-hop, OCity HAZZ carried music with him through nine years in the United States Navy, career, marriage, fatherhood and adulthood. Those years became perspective for the writing. The music never disappeared. Now he returns as a hip-hop artist and songwriter with something different to say.

Raised on the Eastside of Oklahoma City, HAZZ developed an early connection to music through the sound, lyricism and storytelling of ’90s hip-hop. That foundation still shapes the way he approaches songwriting and story.

He built a career, became a husband and father, and lived the responsibilities of adulthood. Relationships, responsibility, doubt, growth and fatherhood later became part of the perspective behind the lyrics.

Through every chapter, the music remained. HAZZ returns to the microphone and to hip-hop not as someone chasing a first opportunity, but as a songwriter and recording artist returning to purpose with lived experience behind him.

That return becomes 2nd Prime — the current music and visual era of OCity HAZZ, where lived experience becomes lyrics, records, performances and a new body of work.
OCity HAZZ’s return to hip-hop challenges the idea that an artist’s creative window has an expiration date — the years became part of the writing, not the end of it.

OCity HAZZ is an Oklahoma City hip-hop artist, songwriter and storyteller whose music is rooted in perspective, growth, accountability and lived experience. Raised on the Eastside of Oklahoma City and shaped by the sound and storytelling of ’90s hip-hop, HAZZ developed an early connection to music before life expanded far beyond it. He served nine years in the United States Navy, built a career, became a husband and father, and spent years navigating the responsibilities that come with adulthood. The music never disappeared. Those experiences now inform the lyrics, themes and point of view in his work. OCity HAZZ returns to hip-hop not as someone chasing a first opportunity, but as a recording artist returning to purpose with experience behind him. He calls this chapter his 2nd Prime.
